Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships

The recent change in law now consents to civil ceremonies as well as weddings.

On 5th December 2005 the Government announced the implementation date for the civil partnership registration scheme in England and Wales. It also proposed to introduce a requirement that all persons over 18 years of age applying for naturalisation or registration as a British Citizen will have to take a citizenship oath and pledge at a citizenship ceremony.
