Conditions of Suit Hire

1 Hire Period

Outfits will be made available for collection on the day prior to use and are due for return before close of business on the day after use. Saturday suit hires are due back on Mondays. Longer period hires available on request.

 

2 Liability

A The hirer accepts full responsibility for the safe return of hired goods.

B In the event of any goods being damaged, stolen or lost, the contractor reserves the right to invoice the hirer at the full retail value for any items which are not returned or which are damaged. In this regard we require the customers authorisation to charge their Credit/Debit Card to this value. The hirer will also be responsible for specialist dry cleaning due to staining of any hire goods and an 'out of service' charge may also be applied. This is waivered by taking out accidental damage insurance of £5 per outfit.

 

3 Availability

Designer items require a minimum of 3 months notice.

 

4 Collections

A Incorrect supply must be notified on the day of collection, claims of incorrect supply will not be entertained after the wear date. Anthony Formalwear are not responsible for any costs incurred due to non or incorrect supply.

B A Credit Card/Debit Card swipe of £50 will be required on all hires before leaving the business and will be returned to the client when all items are returned in full to the business. The above mentioned swipe will not be passed through your account unless the hired outfits are not returned in full by the agreed date; this includes the hanger, suit bag and hat box. Suits must not be returned on wire cleaning hangers.

 

5 Returns

It is in the best interest of our customers that we request that time is allowed to check the return of hire goods so that proper inspection may be made for loss, damage or any chargeable staining resulting during the hire period. It is preferable that this should be agreed with the hirer or their representative at the time of return.

 

6 Fittings

We cannot guarantee trouser length to be correct without appropriate shoes being worn at the time of fitting.

 

7 Bookings

Bookings are only secured by a non-returnable deposit of £25 on Classic suits and £150 on Designer suits. Full payment is required either before or on the day the goods are collected.

 

8 Late returns

Late returns will incur an excess charge at a rate of £25 per day.

 

9 Due to the natural properties of pure silk there are often shade differences or small imperfections. Anthony Formalwear cannot be held responsible for any such imperfections appearing in any garments.

 

10 Anthony Formalwear will not entertain complaints regarding marks on the inside of shirt collars and cuffs. All our shirts are laundered thoroughly and the collar and cuffs treated.

 

11 These conditions are subject to changes without notice.

 

12 ADW Insurance covers hirer for accidental damage. It does not cover malicious damage or loss.
