About Anthony Formal wear

All Anthony Formal Wear branded waistcoats and accessories are hand made in our own UK factory. We are proud to support the 'Made in England' campaign.

Having started life out as a high class men's retail store, Anthony Formal Wear made the addition of wedding hire at the end of the 1970's. We soon realized that there was only a limited selection of Grooms waistcoats and accessories being offered to buy or hire. Which is why we decided to start designing and manufacturing our own ranges and collections.

We now design in house and source all of our own fabrics from within the UK and Northern Europe. This allows us to have exclusive fabrics woven especially and exclusively for us which enables us to keep up with current fashions and trends within the wedding business.

From the launch our our own designs and products we have had numerous Grooms wear shops from across the UK, Europe and the rest of the World approach us to supply their own business with our Anthony Formal Wear waistcoats and accessories. Due to our wholesale business you may come across our own branded 'Anthony Formal Wear' products in other parts of the UK along with countries such as Sweden, the Bahamas and the USA.

We have two shops in Essex offering our complete wedding suit hire, custom made suits and made-to-measure suit collections, but, we have found that due to the internet we have attracted customers from all over the UK and the rest of the World.
