Jay Ellis married Serbian model Nina Sinicar on 9th July 2022. The Top Gun Maverick star and his model Bride chose to go to Tuscany for their wedding. Initially scheduled to be married on 9th July 2020 the couple were caught up in the world wide pandemic. They then changed the date to a year later. But as well we all know, Italy was one of the worst affected countries. As a result they had to change the date again. Third time lucky for the couple they finally got married on 9th July 2022 at Villa Mangiacane in San Casciano, Tuscany. Where they went on their first trip together. Their sunset wedding was held in the courtyard and their guests were asked to wear earth tones to reflect the sunset.

Jay Ellis wedding suit

For his wedding suit Jay worked with Apuje Kalu a well repected fashion stylist and creative director. They decided that designers Dolce & Gabbana were their choice of designer to work with. According to a quote in Vogue:

Jay and Apuje have worked together for many years, so right after the actor told the stylist about the proposal, the conversation immediately turned to creating a custom tuxedo. “We talked about a bunch of silhouettes, lapels and looks, but I always knew I wanted to wear something in the bordeaux family,” Jays says. “Dolce sent over three sketches, and I immediately gravitated to the third one. The fabric on the lapel was sourced; they had never used it before. The piping on the lapel and pockets was a pitch by Apuje that I loved and the rest was the Dolce team being the best at what they do.”

Recreating Jay's dinner suit

Hire wear

Although not a dinner suit we do run a burgundy lambs wool lounge suit in our hire collection. This lambs wool tweed suit is lighter than the more traditional & better known English and Harris tweed. It can be dressed with a matching scoop double breasted waistcoat and to complete the 'Jay Ellis' look a Marcella evening shirt, bow tie and pocket square.

Custom made

With a custom suit you can create your suit by choosing your cloth, style, design, lining, trimmings and fit for your unique outfit. With a custom made suit you are fitted in a suit and then there are 8 points which can be altered within the suit pattern at time of the production. From the chest and waist of the jacket to the width of the trouser.

A custom made suit is a more scaled back version of our made-to-measure suit collection. It offers you lots of choice when designing the perfect suit for your special occasion. Choose from a selection of over 120 cloths, select your lining, buttonhole colour and buttons.
