Tweed wedding suits and accessories have become more popular over the last few years thanks to the success of programs like 'Peaky Blinders' and 'The Crown'. Although tweed suits are not a new fashion they are increasingly more popular as wedding suits and accessories. I believe this is due to more couples choosing a wider variety of wedding venues and settings for their big day. Country houses, converted barns, even woodland and farm based rustic weddings seem to be on the up. After all the traditional church or fairy castle isn't for everyone on their wedding day!
Tweed wedding suits to hire
The English tweed suit for wedding Grooms and their groomsmen is a wonderful way of incorporating your rustic theme into your wedding attire. Still keeping the smartness of a suit but selecting a tweed or lambs wool fabric instead of a more traditional wool, silk or cashmere. Giving more of that country gent look.

Waistcoats and accessories in tweed
If that full tweed suit look is a little too much for you and your wedding don't forget you can incorporate touches of tweed in to your wedding suits. If the Grooms wears a full tweed suit just adding the touches of the Grooms tweed in to the Ushers waistcoats can link the wedding group together. Alternatively if you only want that slight nod to tweed then often our Grooms opt for the tweed waistcoat and the Ushers a slim 3 piece suit with just the tie (or bow tie) and pocket square in the Grooms tweed choice.
Adding just elements of tweed can soften the starkness of a traditional suit look adding just a hint of a vintage country gent to your look. Whilst still keeping the smartness of a traditional slim fit lounge suit. Within our hire collection we offer single breasted, scollop and double breasted waistcoats. Along with tweed ties, bow ties and matching pocket squares.
There are more designs and colours available to purchase via our retail website www.thegroomsshop.co.uk
Lambs wool tweed suits to hire
Don't forget that tweed isn't all heavily woven, checked dark cloth. We run a hire lambs wool tweed wedding suit which is a lighter weave and comes in 'airforce' blue, light grey, navy and a rich dark burgundy. The lambs wool is a great way of achieving that tweed look but in a lighter weight, softer finish and lighter colour.
In our lambs wool hire collection we offer our scoop DB style and classic single breasted waistcoat styles. We also run ties, bow ties and matching pocket squares.
